Captivate Exam Hub
Live now · QueenslandLive now for Queensland. Real QCAA past papers, broken down question by question into a short daily loop built around your subjects and your weak spots, with a tutor that answers only from your syllabus when a point won’t click. Other states coming soon.
- A tutor grounded in your syllabus
- Real QCE past-paper questions
- Spaced repetition, scheduled for you
- Timed past-paper sits
- An honest readiness forecast
Three of the differences.
- Every question traces back to a dot point
- Questions, notes and feedback are generated from your state’s study design and its past papers, and each one keeps the dot point it came from attached to it.
- In practiceAsk for a practice question and it can point to the study-design dot point it came from.
- Built for Australian curricula, state by state
- Command terms are the verbs a marker keys off, like evaluate or justify. Those, plus AITSL standards, and past papers gated to each student’s own jurisdiction.
- In practiceA Queensland student never spends a night on a question their syllabus doesn’t ask.
- It decides what you revise tonight
- Past-exam questions sorted by knowledge point: one dot point of the study design at a time, self-marked against the published scheme.
- In practiceTonight’s session: the questions missed last month, one new topic, and the flashcards due for review.
Built for everyone in the building.

Free →Both platforms run on the same handful of ideas.
Three of them, and they run through both. A teacher marking Tuesday's test and a student revising for it are working from the same study design, approached from opposite ends.
Answer before you re-read
The daily loop makes a student produce an answer before it shows them one, then brings the topic back a week later. Both ideas are older than the software.
Spaced on purpose
Review lands close to the point you would otherwise forget, so a few weeks of small effort compound instead of fading.
Tied to the standards
Assessments and analytics map to your curriculum, so the numbers are fair to compare and safe to act on.
Rubrics that grade themselves.
Build a criteria-based rubric once, then score every student against the same descriptors. The totals, averages and export-ready gradebook update as you mark.

We’re building this in the open.
We’d rather show you the real thing than invent reviews. Captivate Exam Hub is live for Queensland students, and every screenshot of it on this site comes from the working app. The free tools are real and you can use them right now. Your Assess Hub is still in development, and the teacher screens across this site are how it’s taking shape. If you teach, or you’re sitting exams this year, we want your eyes on it.

- In developmentUnder development
Your Assess Hub is still being built, and the Exam Hub’s coverage of the other states and territories is on its way. The teacher screens on this site show where that side is heading.
- Looking for testers
We want teachers to try the early builds of Your Assess Hub, and students anywhere to tell us what the Exam Hub is missing.
Built by someone who has had to teach it.
Captivate is made by a secondary teacher with more than 25 years in Australian classrooms — not by a content team adapting an overseas product to fit our curriculum. That is the whole reason it works state by state instead of averaging across them.
The subject weightings in the free tools come from each authority's own published documents. Where an authority doesn't publish its scaling data, the tool says so on the page rather than passing a model off as official.
